System build with MSI Z170A PC Mate motherboards is problematic.
They cannot properly operate on 4*8GB RAM. System either does not POST at all, or loop restarting, or blue screen while installing OS.
Tried different RAMs (Crucial BallistiX and Kingston HyperX) without luck.
Upgrade of BIOS also did not help.
Only one build worked under following steps:
- Put in two RAM sticks.
- turn XMP ON in BIOS.
- Restart and confirm RAMs are operated under manufacturer parameters (timings, voltage), if not change manually and shut down.
- Put in the other two RAM sticks.
Another one with the same hardware is not so lucky. Everything goes fine after replacing the motherboard with Gigabyte Z170-HD3.
